On 18 and 19 June 2013, GIZ will be hosting the 16th Eschborn Dialogue, bringing some 400 experts from the areas of politics, business and industry, science and civil society together in Eschborn/Germany to discuss this year’s topic – Raw materials and resources: growth, values, competition.
As representative from Angola, Prof. Dr. Orlando da Mata, principal of Agostinho Neto university, will be one of the panelists of the thematic forum “Raw materials and education – education requires resources”. The panel discusses issues such an: Which actors can provide what services? What is the best way to achieve technology transfer and share knowledge? Drawing on case studies, the panel will debate how income from the extractive sector can be used to invest in education – and, as a consequence, in sustainable development.
